What this job involves:

Our team delivers Project Management, Design, and Construction services to our Clients. As an industry leader, JLL not only thinks of ways to optimize a workplacewe also make sure that everybody in there is safe and risk-free. That is why we are on the lookout for an effective HSSE manager who will help implement and manage the Company's safety management system across our fit out projects in Taiwan.

As the person in charge HSSE, you will see to it that Company regional and local safety standards are religiously followed in all of our projects, as well as, provide regular team trainings and identify any gaps for optimization of local safety standards. Aside from these, you'll be on top of designing and enforcing risk management strategies, as well as, being the go-to person for all things related to workplace safety.

In this role, you'll provide valuable insights and technical advice on mitigating risks. Part of your regular day to day work is to manage EHS using our Company's digital platform application and follow global escalation protocols for incident reporting. You will also performing routine inspections, reviews and audits as part of your mandate. As a HSE manager, you will need to prepare project EHS plans, monthly EHS reports, review mandatory EHS documents, and develop training for project site team. You will also conduct weekly EHS and report meetings with consultants, contractors and agencies to review progress per agreed schedule, proactively follow up on all safety issues, review all pending issues with the site team to steer clear of any communication gaps, and develop action plans as soon as possible.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to generate insights through data and evidence and provide effective presentation of data.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and track record in leading change programs.
  • Passion for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent English and Chinese written and oral communication skills with the ability to present at a senior level.
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in computing applications including Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Possess technical skills with the ability to quickly learn our company's EHS tools and platforms.

Your Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HSE or equivalent (Post graduate qualification preferred)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environment (preferred for existing account)
  • Leadership Management Course of equivalent.
  • Experienced with ISO45001/ISO9001/ISO14001 certifications.
  • Trained in Incident Investigation
  • Qualified as a Lead Auditor (preferred)
  • Qualified as a Class B OHSA management employee or Class A OHSA supervisor (preferred)
  • Extensive and proven HSE leadership and management experience, preferably within a construction, industrial or design-related commercial environment, with a geographically spread organization.
  • At least 5 years in a senior position of influence and strategy development.
  • Demonstrated experience in Crisis Emergency Management and Incident Management.
  • Experience in Worker's Compensation and return to work coordination.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the principles of HSE (HSSE preferred) and ethical practice.
