The Global Ocean Product Director oversees global ocean carrier contracts and pricing, aligning with procurement and driving ocean product growth. A key responsibility is effective executive communication, providing vital summaries to top-level management including the CEO and Chairman.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement and Pricing
- Responsible for the global contract and pricing with Ocean carriers in alignment with global procurement
- Support stations in addressing carrier non-compliance with agreed contracts and rates.
- Assist in developing pricing scheme based on local market situation and intelligence.
- Maintain and strengthen the relationship with vendors
- Strategic alignment with global procurement for the Global Ocean Product
- Support global and local Sales to improve Ocean Product for Global Market and achieve new customers
Ocean Business
- Identify and explore the business opportunities for new clients or markets.
- Strengthen the business support by the joint sales calls or meetings.
- Coordinate with sales team on bids and quotation submissions.
- Implement and monitor on-going profitability reviews.
- Support Global and local Sales to improve Ocean Product for Global Market and achieve new Customer

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Technical Skills
- At least 15 years of experience in a role relevant to the department, encompassing multiple modes of operation, and a demonstrated history of successful management in an operational department.
Key Behavioral Competencies
- Ability to communicate effectively, especially skills on providing Executive-level summary for corporate vice president, CEO & Chairman and other regional executives as required
- Ability to organize large-scale procurement programs
- Demonstration of existing connections and relationships with top-tier ocean carriers, both from a commercial and operational perspectives
- Ability to participate in operational excellence initiatives for ocean product at a global scale
