General Description:
- The job incumbent is responsible for DSV Road P&L and productivity; implementation of function development strategy of all aspects including Domestic Road and Cross Border Trucking, setup good networking with counterparts of Greater China and of the regions, ability to drive and execute digitization and innovation. He/She is accountable for local market development through developed strategy and local market trucking relationship.
- Apart from maintaining and developing the DSV Road business both in terms of profitability and productivity, complying with budget requirements, constantly looking for improvement in efficiencies within the operations, he/ she is also responsible for managing credit risks, vendor management and contractual liabilities related to the Road transport product, as well as ensuring that all undertakings are handled in accordance with DSV Road Compliance policy.
Specific Accountabilities:
P&L & Strategic Ownership
- Own Taiwan Road P&L (Sales, Gross Profit, EBIT) and deliver agreed annual targets.
- Translate regional Road strategy into an executable Taiwan roadmap and cascade it to every function.
Market Development & Business Growth
- Drive local market penetration via Road network strategy, government engagement and controlled-account expansion.
- Identify and convert new opportunities; lead tender management from qualification to contract award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Operations & Productivity
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all Taiwan Road transport departments.
- Set, monitor and continuously improve KPIs covering cost, productivity, service quality and customer experience.
- Own network design to optimize routes, asset utilization and cost-to-serve.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Source, negotiate and manage all local controlled-business vendors (trucking, cross-dock, 3PL).
- Ensure vendor performance meets contractual SLAs and cost targets; drive continuous improvement programs.
Financial Control & Risk Management
- Ensure accurate customer invoicing, vendor booking and receivable control.
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational, financial and compliance risks for local controlled business.
- Maintain QHSSE, Administration, Legal, payment standards across all sites.
Cross-Divisional Business Development
- Work closely with Air & Sea (A/S) and Contract Logistics (CL) divisions to unlock integrated road opportunities.
- Align with Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance to safeguard governance and reporting standards.
Drive Integration Process for Local (Taiwan)
- Execute a fast, risk-mitigated integration of Taiwan Road
- Ensure seamless integration of customers, vendors, and FTE, among others.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, build and lead a high-performing local team; foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous learning.
- Develop succession plans and capability roadmaps for critical roles.
Skills Required:
- Ability to set business and financial goals, devise and implement operating plans to drive business regarding productivity, profitability, market share, product range and services.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree holder or relevant Industry qualification.
- Minimum 5 years experience in management of Road Transportation operations in freight forwarding industry.
