Job Description

Position Summery

This role sets the overall direction both strategically and financially and ensures economic and cultural alignment between local activities and corporate directions, goals, priorities and strategies of the respective business group. He or she communicates corporate business group goals and strategies and bears responsibility for acting as the ambassador and primary guarantor of customer and employee satisfaction. In order to achieve strategic goals as well as planned revenue and profit targets, in agreement with the VP Sales in HQ he or she takes responsibility for developing product positioning, branding, promotional and sales strategies for the country/ territory of responsibility, identifying new business opportunities and managing and developing sales and marketing staff.

You Will

  • Be responsible for our sales and services center
  • Develop mid- and long-term strategies in alignment with Business Unit strategy
  • Build up the Business Unit organization in Market Taiwan and develop the business to sustainable growth
  • Build up strategic account management
  • Working cross-regionally coordinate and support those Taiwan to Global project. Equip Taiwan as the design hub to win in global IQS.
  • Develop a market landscape for Taiwanese market
  • Lead a team of 20+ people in midterm
  • Implementation of process improvements

Areas of Responsibility

  • Build up a Sales, service and application organization in Taiwan in alignment with the local SSC organization and the Sales and Service Organization structure.
  • Support in the negotiation with our business partners for business transformation of the individual business channels
  • In alignment with the BG / SBU strategy manage the profitability and continued growth of company products, services and solutions in order to safeguard and expand the Company's market position
  • Ensure that the unit locally reflects the vision and cultural requirements of the organization at a global level
  • Manage corporate governance requirements
  • Manage, motivate and develop the sales and marketing organization in accordance with Company's Leadership Behavior
  • Actively coach the implementation and use of Customer Relationship Management & Excellence Tools (e.g. Sales & Service Excellence CRM, metrics, Maturity Assessment)
  • Analyze, predict and continuously monitor market trends; analyze competitive strategies; identify emerging technologies and define business opportunities and provide continuous feedback to the BG / SBU in HQ
  • Identify potential new customers, expand share of wallet with existing customers
  • Develop business strategies for senior level customer accounts
  • Build and maintain direct contact with existing senior level customers
  • Develop and support product positioning, branding and promotional strategies
  • Plan, manage and monitor sales, profits, costs, inventory levels and debtors; track performance against key performance metrics; provide continuous feedback to top management and ensure the implementation of adequate measures if there is a need for action
  • Develop and maintain a professional network
  • Manage and monitor internal and external processes, procedures and systems, suggest continuous improvement and ensure that available resources are used efficiently
  • Maintain and expand a knowledge base on industry, market and competitive environment

Qualification

  • University degree in a technical, business management or product related field or graduation from a higher institution, or equivalent
  • Ideally knowledge and experience in the electronics / mechanical manufacturing industry
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations. From a multi-national company is preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in leadership
  • Willingness to travel
  • Intercultural competence
  • Economical knowledge (study, MBA)
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and result orientation
  • Customer oriented appearance
  • Good English skills both in oral and written
  • Positive can do attitude coupled with a willingness to continuously acquire new market, product and positioning
