Datacolor is actively seeking a talented Hardware Service Engineer to join our global workforce.
Position Summary:
Provide hardware technical support & repair services for Datacolor products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
You have:
- Deliver service and technical support to end-users via phone, using Salesforce software or via remote PC connection.
- Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to hardware technical support inquiries, concerns, and requests about products.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues involving connectivity, function and performance of Instruments.
- Follow standard processes and procedures to document issues.
- Identify and escalate priority issues per client specifications.
- Organize ideas and communicate oral messages appropriate to listeners and situations.
- Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary.
- Process and distribute instrument certification documentation in a timely manner.
- Train customers how to operate and maintain the equipment properly, especially related to hardware.
- Offer the best annual service packages to the customers according to the company policies.
- Other tasks assigned by manager.
Experience & Qualifications:
- College or above, major in mechanical, electronic engineering, preferred automation background.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience including field service. Knowledge in circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer hardware & software, including applications and programming.
- Fluent Chinese & English, spoken & written communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; and a good team worker.
- Frequent travelling within Taiwan or to other countries if necessary for business purposes.
- Experience in spectrophotometers and optical instruments.
