Role Summary

The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) Tech Vendor Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across key technology commodities (e.g., GPU, NIC, Storage, RAID, FC, Switch, AOC/Transceivers) to support server and infrastructure business growth. The role drives supplier management, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity while aligning with business, engineering, and finance stakeholders globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing Supplier Management
    • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned technology commodities.
    • Lead commercial negotiations, LTAs, and cost optimization initiatives with key suppliers (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, etc.).
    • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and executive engagement.
  • Cost Commercial Leadership
    • Drive cost reduction, rebate programs, and total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements.
    • Lead pricing negotiations, should-cost analysis, and market benchmarking.
    • Support budget planning, forecast alignment, and financial impact analysis.
  • Supply Business Continuity
    • Ensure supply assurance and risk mitigation across global programs and product lifecycles.
    • Manage allocation, buy-ahead/LTB strategies, and EOL transitions.
    • Collaborate with operations and planning teams on supply-demand alignment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Operations to support new product introductions (NPI) and platform strategies.
    • Provide sourcing input for technology roadmaps and supplier selection.
    • Support executive reviews with data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Governance Compliance
    • Lead contract management, compliance, and internal approval processes.
    • Ensure alignment with corporate procurement policies and global trade regulations.
