Role Purpose:

The main responsibility of this role will be to support the Head of Footwear GA Asia and work in collaboration with the Global Accounts team to increase the level of conversion of business that has an approved specification from one of the Global Account customers (Brands or Retailers).

The incumbent in the role is expected to help manage relationships with local buying offices, agents and trading companies to ensure Coats products and colours are included in Purchase Orders to ensure business is secured locally in line with Global Account agreements with their customers.

The incumbent will also need to collaborate with the brand liaison offices to provide inputs in the brand forecast (demand plan) requirements to ensure we can meet the customer requirements for product supply, whilst optimising stock levels and working

capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Global Sales Operations by partnering with Global Accounts teams to prioritize local activities and secure business across the Global Account portfolio.
  • Drive new customer acquisition by sharing market intelligence and collaborating with Global Accounts to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers at buying and liaison offices of global brands to achieve sales objectives and local nominations.
  • Coordinate with direct sales, TAS, sales & marketing, and production teams to deliver annual targets for the Global Accounts portfolio.
  • Present Coats products, catalogues, colour cards, and technical documentation; organise and deliver technical training sessions.
  • Analyse market trends and future demand to inform and guide sales, marketing, and production teams.
  • Secure agreed specifications locally to increase share of wallet with vendors and track performance for timely interventions.
  • Maintain and enhance databases and statistics for global and local specifications.
  • Establish communication and follow-up processes to convert specifications into sales.
  • Utilise Dynamics for daily administration, reporting, and global visibility of Global Account activities.
  • Proactively advise the Commercial Director and Global Accounts team on key risks, issues, and growth opportunities requiring escalation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in any commercial field.
  • Minimum 5/8 years experience in the customer-facing industry, preferably B2B.
  • Experience in footwear development industry is a must.
  • Results-driven with considerable experience in negotiating and delivering against significant contracts.
  • Ability to create, implement and roll out strategic account planning and relationship development strategies.
  • Outstanding communicator in English and Chinese.
  • Strong in presentation and negotiation skills.
