General Clerk II, Office of MBA Programme in Finance

Among all the Master's programmes offered by the School, the MBA Programme in Finance (FMBA) stands out as a highly selective programme designed to attract highly motivated professionals in the financial and related business sectors. This part-time programme caters to the needs of working professionals in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, and the region who seek leadership development. To support the strategic development, the School is looking for an experienced General Clerk II for the FMBA Programme.
Reporting to the Administrative Director of the FMBA Programme, the appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative support for the daily office operations (b) providing secretarial support and handling clerical duties, such as procurement, payment and accounting documentation, data entry, duty trip applications, and preparation of meeting minutes (c) assisting in programme activities, meetings, interviews, seminars and public events (d) providing support for the academic and students-related affairs, and programme admission exercises, such as documents vetting, room booking, and students visa applications and (e) performing other impromptu duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill (iv) at least 2 years post-qualification work experience, preferably in office administration within the tertiary education sector/public organisations (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (vi) competency in IT applications such as Microsoft Office (vii) self-motivation and a sense of commitment and ownership and (viii) the ability to work as a good team player and independently with minimal supervision, and attentiveness to details.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
