Responsibilities
- SAS expander and PCIe/CXL switch FW development.
- Define customized SAS expander and PCIE switch FW spec, test plan, and test utility.
- HW and FW troubleshooting with SAS expander and PCIE switch.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Interact with cross function teams and customers; Lead or attend meetings internally and interlocks with customers/vendors in English.
- Build necessary FW development environment and lab.
Technical Skills
- Familiar with programming language C/C++ and scripting language such as shell/python.
- Know well about SAS expander and PCIE switch FW architecture.
- The experience of SAS expender/PCIe switch FW coding for datacenter products.
- ARM/MIPS embedded system development experience.
- Know interface protocol (like I2C, SPI, MDIO, SCSI, PCIe and etc..
- Understand storage data path from file system, driver, HBA, expander/switch to storage device.
- Proficiency capturing and debugging with Protocol Analyzers is a plus.
- Linux driver programming experience is a plus.
- Understand how to measure customer application performance is a plus.
- Server system design experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems is a plus.
- Understand Hyperscale data center environment is a plus.
Education And Experience
- Must have 8 years or more work experience in development qualification of storage device products.
- Undergraduate BSEE or BSCE degree required.
- A Master degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Hyperscale/Cloud experience is a plus.
Teaming and Communications
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation in both Mandarin and English.
- Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia.
