Job Description

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Education, Digital Media, Computer Science, Educational Technology or a related discipline (ii) strong proficiency in various AI tools, including large language models (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek) and other generative platforms, AI video generation tools (such as HeyGen, Synthesia, Runway ML, ElevenLabs), AI image generation tools (such as Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Leonardo.ai), and standard video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects) (iii) hands-on experience in creating educational or instructional video content (iv) excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) and (v) creativity, attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. A portfolio of previous educational video and AI-generated image work is highly preferred.

The appointee will support the creation of high-quality educational video content and conduct experimental studies using AI education tools for online learning and research dissemination projects. Duties include (a) developing video scripts and storyboards using large language models and other AI tools (b) generating video footage, animations, voiceovers, and AI-generated photos/images using various AI platforms (c) editing and post-producing videos with professional software (d) creating subtitles, graphics, and visual effects (e) conducting research on educational topics and content ideas (f) designing and conducting experimental studies with different AI educational tools to evaluate their effectiveness on learning outcomes, user engagement, and content quality and (g) performing other duties as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
