The Finance Director serves as a key member of the Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau Leadership Team and acts as a strategic business partner to the General Manager.

As Paula's Choice continues evolving from a DTC-first organization toward an Omnichannel and Digital-First business model, this role is responsible for driving profitable growth, enhancing commercial decision-making, strengthening forecasting capabilities, and ensuring sound financial governance across the cluster.

Beyond traditional finance leadership, the Finance Director will leverage financial insights, business analytics, demand forecasting, and data-driven decision-making to improve profitability, optimize resource allocation, and support sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, challenge assumptions constructively, lead transformation initiatives, and build organizational capabilities that enable long-term success. Key Accountabilities

1. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance

Purpose:

As the business expands across DTC, Marketplace, Retail, and Wholesale channels, sustainable growth increasingly depends on balancing revenue growth with profitability. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and Leadership Team, providing financial and commercial insights that improve business performance and decision quality.

Key Responsibilities:

•Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Leadership Team.

•Analyze profitability by channel, customer, and product portfolio.

•Provide recommendations on pricing, promotions, investments, and resource allocation.

•Develop business cases and ROI evaluation frameworks.

•Support critical business decisions through financial and commercial analysis.

•Provide constructive challenge and objective perspectives to improve decision quality.

•Foster a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Strategic Planning

Purpose:

The business requires increasingly sophisticated forecasting, planning, and performance management capabilities to support growth across multiple markets and channels.

This role is expected to look beyond historical performance and proactively anticipate future trends, risks, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes.

•Facilitate Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and performance management discussions.

•Develop financial models, scenario planning, and strategic evaluation frameworks.

•Identify business risks and growth opportunities proactively.

•Provide financial and commercial recommendations to the Leadership Team.

•Establish and monitor key business and financial performance indicators.

•Support regional and global planning processes.

3. Demand Planning & Inventory Management

Purpose:

As the organization continues to expand its omnichannel capabilities and prepares for future 3PL implementation, demand planning and inventory management become increasingly critical to revenue growth, profitability, customer experience, and working capital efficiency.

This role ensures optimal alignment between commercial ambitions and supply capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead the demand planning and forecasting process.

•Improve forecast accuracy and planning discipline.

•Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to develop demand and supply plans.

•Drive inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives.

•Monitor inventory health, stock availability, slow-moving inventory, and inventory risks.

•Support product launch planning and supply readiness.

•Participate in and strengthen the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

•Facilitate cross-functional alignment between commercial and operational teams.

4. Financial Governance, Compliance & Internal Controls

Purpose:

Strong financial governance is essential to sustainable business growth. This role focuses on governance, oversight, risk management, and control effectiveness rather than day-to-day transactional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

•Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.

•Maintain effective internal control and compliance frameworks.

•Oversee tax, audit, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.

•Manage cash flow and financial risk exposure.

•Ensure adherence to corporate policies and local regulatory requirements.

•Partner with Global Finance teams to implement governance and compliance initiatives.

•Continuously improve finance processes and control effectiveness.

5. Business Transformation & Digital Enablement

Purpose:

•Drive organizational capability building, digital transformation, and scalable business processes to support future growth, improve decision-making quality, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

6. Leadership & Organizational Development

Purpose:

•Build a high-performing, commercially minded finance organization by developing talent, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and creating sustainable capabilities that support long-term business success.

=Candidate Profile=

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

•10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience.

•Strong background in FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Business Partnering.

•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.

•Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

•Strong communication and presentation skills.

•Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

=Preferred Qualifications=

•Experience in Beauty, Skincare, Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods, or related industries.

•Familiarity with DTC, Marketplace, Retail, and Wholesale business models.

•Experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or S&OP processes.

•Retail finance and omnichannel profitability management experience.

•Experience leading ERP implementations, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.

•Experience supporting organizations transitioning from rapid growth to sustainable profitability.

•CPA or other relevant professional qualifications preferred. Success Profile
