Role Summary
Our Client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & HR Executive to support the company's financial and human resource functions. The role will be primarily focused on Finance and Accounts (70%), with the remaining 30% dedicated to HR administration and support. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in accounting and finance, preferably with experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts (70%)
- Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and supporting schedules.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Process payments, staff claims, and supplier invoices.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor project costing, job costing, and cost control activities (where applicable).
- Support year-end audit and tax filing processes.
Human Resources (30%)
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding activities. (this is a mid size company ( 25 staff), work in this area is not voluminous)
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with payroll preparation and statutory submissions.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
- Monitor leave administration, attendance records, and employee benefits.
- Support performance appraisal and training administration.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company HR policies.
- Assist in employee engagement and HR-related initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Finance and Accounts.
- Experience in the Manufacturing or Construction industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Exposure to payroll and HR administration functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Profile
- Solid background in both Accounting and Finance functions.
- Hands-on experience in cost control, project costing, or manufacturing costing.
- Comfortable handling both finance operations and HR administrative responsibilities.
- Meticulous, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
