The Position
The Finance & Accounting Specialist will be responsible for daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing, tax compliance, and audit support. This role requires solid accounting fundamentals, hands-on tax experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Task & Responsibilities:
- General Ledger & Closing Management
- Lead and support all month-end and year-end closing activities (GL/ AP/ AR), including the preparation of financial reports and necessary supporting documents.
- Ensure high-quality, efficient processes and timely completion of all financial tasks.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes and principles.
- Tax Management & Compliance
- Manage local and corporate tax affairs, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Surtax returns.
- Responsible for VAT reconciliation (incoming/outgoing VAT, receivables, and expenditures) and formal declarations.
- Handle Withholding Tax (WHT) reconciliation and filing.
- Manage tax accounting, tax audits, and the preparation of tax applications.
- Prepare Financial Statements, Transfer Pricing (TP) reports, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), and other tax-related reports.
- Cash & Asset Management
- Manage cash flow, including the preparation of cash flow statements and forecasts.
- Monitor daily and weekly cash positions.
- Provide support for Fixed Assets management and Vendor Master maintenance.
- External Audit & Stakeholder Relations
- Coordinate audit activities with CPA firms and external auditors.
- Provide necessary reports and explanations to tax authorities regarding CIT, WHT, and other compliance matters (e.g., finished goods disposal).
- Other Responsibilities
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by management
- Participate in process improvement, system optimization, and internal control enhancement initiatives
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in a CPA firm is highly preferred.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Professional Knowledge: Familiarity with local tax regulations and solid experience in handling local tax matters.
Capabilities & Skills- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Language: Good command of English in both writing and speaking.
- Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
