Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement structured training programs and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage semiconductor facility mechanical and process systems, including Cleanroom HVAC, Chilled Water, Heating Water, Makeup Air, Recirculation Air, Process Cooling Water, Process Exhaust, Compressed Air, Process Vacuum, and General HVAC.
  • Oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and optimization of mechanical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Review build drawings, specifications, and NavisWorks 3D models for accuracy, functionality, maintainability, and constructability.
  • Drive innovation through energy-saving initiatives, system optimization, and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze system designs to identify improvements for better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
  • Incorporate lessons learned from other sites into design and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant standards for quality and operational excellence.
  • Champion TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct risk assessments and apply best practices to eliminate single points of failure and enhance system reliability.
  • Support regulatory audits and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with corporate standards.
  • Review design packages and provide documented feedback.
  • Prepare and manage O&M SOPs, inspection checklists, and technical documentation.
  • Validate scope, schedule, and cost estimates for mechanical infrastructure projects.
  • Provide engineering oversight during design and construction phases.
  • Assist with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management, including vendor qualification and negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain mechanical system standards, specifications, and Best Known Method (BKM) documents.
  • Support capacity planning and input system data into planning tools for future operational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align mechanical infrastructure projects with broader site objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); equivalent work experience considered.
  • Minimum 810 years in mechanical engineering, including at least 35 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in mechanical systems design and operation, HVAC, process utilities, and construction standards.
  • Familiarity with NavisWorks, capacity planning tools, predictive maintenance methodologies, and TPM principles is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performance teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills; fluent in English with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and facilities systems.
  • Demonstrated success in cost control, operational efficiency improvements, and supplier management.
  • Experience in ISO/IATF compliance and quality management systems.
