School of Hotel and Tourism Management
Executive Officer II

The School of Hotel and Tourism Management is launching a new MSc Programme, with its first intake in the 2026-27 academic year. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive Officer to support the Programme Director (PD) in the strategic development and operational management of this exciting new initiative.

The appointee will play a key role in supporting both the launch and ongoing operations of this new MSc programme. Duties include (a) working closely with the PD to shape the programme's identity and positioning, and to develop and implement strategies for student recruitment, admissions, and promotional initiatives (including organising webinars, forums and/or summits to engage prospective students and industry stakeholders) (b) co-ordinating a broad range of programme-related activities, such as course planning, timetabling, and handling student enquiries (c) leading admissions and promotional efforts, ensuring alignment with best practices and the programme's strategic goals (d) overseeing the programme's daily administration by liaising with various units within CUHK and external partners to ensure seamless programme delivery (e) managing student activities, and supporting student affairs and (f) providing secretarial support to the programme committee.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English Language requirement set out on the website: (iii) at least 5 years post-qualification executive experience (iv) a strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT applications (vi) self-motivation, a can-do work attitude, along with a responsible and collaborative work approach (vii) strong organisational skills, keen attentiveness to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders with diversified background and (viii) the willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and to undertake occasional business travel. Prior experience in sports-related industries, event planning, or within tertiary institutions is preferred.
