Executive Officer IIReporting to the Department Chairperson and the supervisor, the appointee will assist in overseeing the daily operation of the Department and ensuring compliance with the University's and Faculty's guidelines and regulations. Duties include (a) providing comprehensive administrative support to the General Office (b) assisting in the planning and implementation of new initiatives (c) handling programme and course administration (d) assisting in the preparation of teaching assignments (e) providing secretarial support for committees (f) co-ordinating and managing events (g) managing procurement, reimbursement and office maintenance and (h) performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree or above (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 4 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) solid knowledge of office administration and proficiency in computer applications (vi) strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organisational skills, with a high level of attentiveness to detail and (vii) self-motivation and the ability to work independently.Applicants must submit copies of academic certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
