Executive Officer II(s)

Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research (HKIER) invites experienced candidates to join the Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) and oversee administrative operations in support of its professional initiatives.

QSIP is an organisation established by the HKIER in 1998, dedicated to enhancing the quality of education, strengthening teachers professional capacity, and driving school improvement through the provision of professional school-based support and the dissemination of effective practices. Over the years, QSIP has evolved from a project-based initiative into an organisation that conducts multiple projects funded by diverse sources, while also offering self-financing professional school improvement programmes. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) overseeing the administrative operations of professional support programmes under QSIP, including school recruitment, programme implementation, dissemination, and evaluation (b) liaising with internal and external parties to plan and co-ordinate professional development activities and events at territory-wide, school cluster and individual school levels (c) supporting the development, editing, and production of project deliverables, including toolkits and lesson design exemplars (d) preparing proposals and reports (e) providing executive support to office administration and carrying out supervisory duties and (f) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 6 years post-qualification executive experience in project management, preferably in tertiary institutions or NGOs related to education (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (v) strong organisational and analytical skills (vi) the ability to manage multiple priorities independently as well as collaboratively in a team and (vii) a high level of initiative, responsibility, and attention to detail. Having knowledge of the local education context will be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
