Executive Officer II(s)

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), always in search of excellence, is working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland. We are committed to advancing clinical services, research, training, and education to the highest standard in all major areas of Ophthalmology and the visual sciences. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) handling students, fellowship programme, academic visitor scheme and admission-related issues (b) supervising junior staff to provide full spectrum of office administration functions (c) managing and facilitating various cooperations between DOVS and internal/external institutions (d) planning, organising and managing academic events, public relation activities and projects of the Department (e) broadening the reach and strengthening the relationship with our donor community through donor engagement and retention programmes and (f) performing other tasks assigned by the Department.Working beyond normal office hours and at weekends may be required occasionally.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) excellent English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) writing, editing, proofreading and speaking skills (iv) excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills and (v) the ability to work independently and as a good team player. Having executive work experience in tertiary institutions is preferred.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
