Executive Officer II, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, Office of MBA Programmes

Reporting to the Team Head of the Central and Academic Administration team within the Office of MBA Programmes (the Office), the successful candidate will play a key role in crafting and implementing communication strategies that drive stakeholder engagement, foster strategic alliances, and enhance the programme's overall competitiveness. This role benefits from a solid business background, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate the academic-industry interface to create value for the MBA Programmes.

The appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Alumni and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Acting as the Office's primary point of contact for alumni and industry partners outside the Chinese Mainland, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships and
    • Facilitating regular meetings with alumni and industry partners to strengthen ties and collaboration.
  2. Strategic Alliance Management
    • Identifying, cultivating and securing partnerships across all alliance programmes and
    • Negotiating project scopes, deliverables and timelines in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and
    • Ensuring that partnership activities align with the programme's strategic goals, compliance requirements, and sponsor expectations.
  3. Advancement Communications
    • Overseeing the development of engagement-related content across print, digital, email, social media, and web platforms, ensuring consistent and high-quality representation of the CUHK MBA Programmes across all external touchpoints and
    • Managing the Office's communication channels in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Office of the CUHK Business School and
    • Representing the Office in meetings with senior executives, visiting delegations, and other external stakeholders.
  4. Operational Co-ordination
    • Co-ordinating contracting processes and
    • Championing data analysis to inform decision-making and guide strategic planning and
    • Preparing annual operating budgets for communications and stakeholder engagement in non-Chinese Mainland markets and
    • Preparing periodic plans and reports on communications and stakeholder engagement efforts.

He/She will undertake ad hoc or updated duties as assigned by the Administrative Director (or his delegate). Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with occasional overseas travel, will be required.


Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related discipline (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo (iii) at least 5 years post-qualification experience in alumni engagement, business development, strategic alliances or related roles, preferably in tertiary education sector (iv) strong self-motivation, organisation and a high sense of accountability (v) demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team (vi) proven excellence in cross-sector communication and interpersonal skills (vii) the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment (viii) proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube), Canva, Adobe and Chinese word-processing applications and (ix) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua). Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test and interview.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
