Job Description
Role Overview
The Event Specialist is responsible for the independent execution of assigned events and programs while supporting the broader Events & Marketing portfolio at AmCham Taiwan.
The role coordinates event logistics, vendors, stakeholders, marketing collateral, progress tracking, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up to ensure high-quality member experiences and seamless event delivery.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Events, Marketing & Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Event Execution & Coordination
· Independently execute assigned committee events, CEO Roundtables, industry programs,
and other member-facing events from planning through on-site delivery and post-event
follow-up.
· Support major signature events, industry forums, and high-level delegation visit as
assigned.
· Track event timelines, registration, logistics, deliverables, and overall progress to ensure
timely and effective execution.
· Assist in resolving on-site issues and escalate matters to the project lead or Senior Director
when appropriate.
Program & Stakeholder Coordination
· Work closely with Government & Public Affairs (GAPA) colleagues to support committee
co-chairs and execute assigned industry programs.
· Coordinate with members, speakers, venues, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
· Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communication throughout the event planning and
execution process.
Marketing & Event Collateral
· Develop and coordinate digital and print collateral to promote events, recruit attendees,
and increase member participation.
· Work with relevant internal teams to ensure event communications and promotional
materials are accurate and delivered on schedule.
Operations & Vendor Coordination
· Coordinate vendor sourcing, quotations, venue arrangements, logistics, and other
operational requirements for assigned events.
· Track event-related expenses against approved budgets and support invoice and payment
processes.
· Complete post-event administration, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
Team & Portfolio Support
· Support implementation of the annual Events & Marketing Business Plan.
· Track progress and outcomes for assigned events.
· Collaborate with team members during major events and peak event periods.
· Recommend practical improvements to event execution, operational efficiency, and
member experience.
Required Qualifications
· Two or more years of relevant professional experience in event management, event
execution, project coordination, marketing, hospitality/MICE, association management,
public affairs, or a related field.
· Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate and execute events or projects.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with members, vendors, and
internal teams.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality/MICE, or a related
field.
· Three or more years of relevant professional experience.
· Experience working in a chamber of commerce, membership organization, professional
association, or international business environment.
· Experience studying or working abroad, preferably in the United States.
