HotFoot Recruiters is seeking a
Senior Electrical Designer to lead and support the design, documentation, and coordination of building electrical systems for high-tech facilities. This is a key role that requires advanced design knowledge, experience collaborating across disciplines, and a strong understanding of code-compliant electrical design in a fast-paced project environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of electrical systems including low/medium voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, and emergency systems.
- Produce and review detailed construction drawings and system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform calculations for load analysis, voltage drop, circuit sizing, and short circuit analysis.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable standards and codes (NEC, IBC, NFPA, etc.).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, architectural, structural) throughout project phases.
- Support specification development, submittal review, and contractor RFI responses during construction.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and QA/QC support.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement and documentation standardization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial building systems.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; understanding of BIM coordination preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, design standards, and construction documentation.
- Experience designing for cleanrooms, data centers, fabs, or other high-tech environments is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead design coordination efforts.
- Mandarin fluency required; English reading/writing preferred.
- PE or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.
