Job Description

About Us

Nable is a pioneering nanotechnology company based in Taipei, dedicated to advancing nanobubble technology. Led by a team of distinguished scientists and industry experts from top-tier global institutions, and backed by leading international investors, Nable is redefining fluid dynamics for critical applications ranging from precision agriculture, aquaculture, industrial cleaning, and more.

We are currently expanding our engineering team and seeking a highly qualified Electrical Engineer to lead the development of our core hardware systems.

Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical lead for the electrical architecture of Nable's water treatment systems. This role requires a multidisciplinary professional capable of bridging the gap between high-power industrial automation and precision embedded systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the electrical stack: from designing industrial control panels and sizing motor drives for heavy-duty pumps, to developing custom PCB solutions that enable mass-market scalability. You will ensure all systems are designed for reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with rigorous industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

Industrial Control & Power Systems

  • System Architecture: Design and validate industrial control architectures, utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), VFDs, and HMIs to manage complex fluid dynamics.
  • Power Distribution: Engineer power distribution systems for high-voltage applications (AC 3-phase), including the selection and integration of heavy-duty centrifugal pumps, contactors, and protection relays.
  • Sensor Integration: Implement precise closed-loop control systems by integrating industrial sensors (Dissolved Oxygen, ORP, Pressure, Flow) using Modbus and RS-485 communication protocols.
  • Safety & Interlocks: Design and verify hardware safety interlocks and emergency shutdown circuits, particularly for systems involving ozone generation and high-pressure gas injection.

Embedded Design & Scalability

  • PCB Development: Lead the strategic transition from off-the-shelf industrial controllers to custom printed circuit boards (PCBs) for high-volume product lines. This includes schematic capture, layout oversight, and firmware integration.
  • Mixed-Signal Design: Ensure signal integrity in mixed-signal environments, effectively isolating sensitive digital logic (MCUs) from high-noise inductive loads and motor drives.
  • Ruggedized Engineering: Design electronics and enclosures to meet strict IP65/IP67 ingress protection standards, ensuring long-term reliability in wet, corrosive, and outdoor environments.

Manufacturing & Operations

  • Component Engineering: Independently identify, validate, and source critical components, balancing technical performance with supply chain availability and cost targets.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate directly with contract manufacturers (CMs) and panel shops. Oversee DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to ensure seamless transition from prototype to mass production.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly instructions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in hardware development, with a focus on industrial automation, fluid systems (pumps, compressors, etc.), or robotics.
  • Language: Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
  • Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle , from initial concept and prototyping through to validation and mass production
  • Industrial Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in architecting full control loops and power distribution circuits for fluid systemsfrom sizing the 3-phase motor and configuring the VFD, to programming the PLC logic that manages pressure and flow rates.
  • PCB & Hardware Scaling: Strong background in transitioning designs from industrial prototypes (PLCs) to scalable custom PCBs. Requires expert-level layout skills (Altium/Cadence).
  • Prototyping: Ability to independently build, wire, and troubleshoot control cabinets and circuit boards in a lab environment.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in C++ & Python for automation, testing, and data analysis.
  • Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with industrial standards for enclosure design, waterproofing, and electrical safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Water Treatment or Gas Injection technologies (eg, Ozone generation, Electrolysis, Oxygen concentrators).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (UL 508A, CE Machinery Directive, FCC).
  • Proficiency in firmware development (C/C++) for embedded microcontrollers.
  • Experience with potting, conformal coating, and connector selection for high-humidity environments.

Location

We only consider local candidates who do not need work permit sponsorship. This role requires regular on-site work, so candidates should be comfortable commuting to our Neihu, Taipei City location.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, specifically valuing candidates with dual competency in industrial controls and PCB design.

Leave: Annual leave and holiday policy follow Taiwan labor standards. Flexible sick leave policy.
