Overview:
The Editorial Lead is responsible for leading the scientific and editorial delivery for assigned projects/accounts, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality strategic solutions.
Job responsibilities:
- Maintain strong understanding of client and competitor portfolios to provide strategic consultancy.
- Develop a range of scientific and medical communications content.
- Lead account teams to ensure scientific accuracy, strategic alignment, and high-quality outputs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders to guidance to client.
- Facilitate expert discussions and content development to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead scientific and editorial delivery for events and initiatives.
- Build strong client relationships through effective communication and consultancy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive account growth and new business.
- Lead client meetings for project delivery and strategic planning.
- Manage and develop team members, including performance and career progression.
- Provide line management to Medical Writer(s), setting clear goals and expectations, career and development plans and monitoring and evaluating performance.
- Provide training and mentorship on content, compliance, and subject matter knowledge.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in the sciences (PhD, MSc);
- At least 5 years experience working for a healthcare communications agency and demonstrated application of this to support business development.
- Basic written and verbal English communication skills to support regional clients.
- Team skills.
- Sound ability to distill complex science into clear, concise messages.
- Good attention to detail.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
