The Director of Sales Strategy & Project Management Office, ASPAC is responsible for driving sales operations excellence and managing strategic commercial projects across the Asia Pacific region. The role oversees sales strategy execution, incentive and quota planning, sales systems optimization, and commercial analytics (working closely with Revenue, Sales, Distribution analytics and enablement team), while also leading the regional Project Management Office (PMO). Acting as the main project manager for key initiatives across Sales, Events, Revenue, and Distribution, this leader ensures alignment, disciplined execution, and measurable impact of commercial priorities, while occasionally leading high-profile projects across the Commercial Services division.
The Director of Sales Strategy & Project Management Office, ASPAC will report directly to RVP Sales & Events Operations, ASPAC. This role will be based in Hong Kong.
Sales Strategy, Operations and Programming
. Support Sales Strategy, Operations and Programming creation - Support design and execution of regional sales strategies and programs ensuring alignment with revenue goals and business priorities.
Sales Incentive Program and Quota Setting
. Support development and administration of sales incentive programs, ensuring competitiveness, fairness, and alignment with business objectives.
. Manage regional sales quota-setting processes by analyzing historical data, pipelines, and market trends to set challenging but achievable targets. Regularly review and update incentive plans to ensure they remain competitive, fair, and effective in motivating field sales and events leaders.
. Clearly communicate incentive structures and provide training to ensure all team members understand how to achieve rewards
Sales and Events Learning
. Support development and administration of Sales Operations, Sales & Events Systems, Events Operations trainings, ensuring smooth field adoption and execution with clear business objectives.
Enablement and Analytics
. Oversee deployment and optimization of sales and events, compensation systems and tools (e.g., Spiff, Envision), ensuring integration with analytics platforms.
. Track, analyze, and report sales performance, providing actionable insights to regional and property leadership.
Project Management Office (PMO)
. Project Management Office (PMO) - Establish and manage project governance framework, prioritization, and delivery standards for regional commercial projects
. Act as primary project manager for cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Events, Revenue, and Distribution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery with measurable ROI.
. Coordinate cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on project milestones, risks, and outcomes lead ad-hoc high-priority projects across Commercial Services.
Experience
. 8+ years of progressive experience in hospitality sales operations, revenue management, or commercial strategy, with 3-5 years in a regional capacity.
. Strong project management background PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred.
. Proven ability to deliver complex cross-functional projects with measurable business results.
. Experience with BI tools, and sales incentive program design.
. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
. Experience working in a global hospitality or service-driven organization.
. Willingness to travel frequently within the Asia Pacific region.
Education and Expertise (i.e. certificates, licenses, etc.)
.Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field required.
.Master's degree preferred.
