The Director of Engineering is a pivotal role within Taiwan AI Labs,

responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering projects,

initiatives, and processes. As a leader of our engineering department, you

ll collaborate closely with other department heads to ensure successful

project completion, implement cutting-edge technologies, and develop

efficient processes. Your strategic vision and technical expertise will

drive our companys growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Strategy:

-Lead the engineering team, both front-end and back-end development teams.

-Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic direction and policies.

-Monitor, track, and control project outcomes to resolve issues and ensure success.

2. Project Management:

-Manage software development projects from ideation to execution.

-Set requirements, goals, and timelines.

-Oversee the entire product development lifecycle.

3. Infrastructure and Compliance:

-Monitor reliability and performance of internal systems, suggesting

improvements.

-Ensure compliance with security regulations.

-Prepare and manage the engineering departments budget.

4. Innovation and Integration:

- Design strategies for future development projects aligned with

company objectives.

-Implement innovative technologies to maximize productivity.

-Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and

tools.

Essential Qualifications

1.Bachelor degree, or preferably Master or PhD degree, in the field of Computer Science, Computer engineering, or Electrical Engineering

2.Proven experience as an engineer, with 8 years of Engineering Manager experience and a track record of managing complex software tech projects with end to end accountability from backend to front end.

3.Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams effectively.

4.Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies and software development best practices.

5.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
