Key Responsibilities


Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Define and execute the Accounting Operations Center strategy in alignment with overall corporate finance objectives.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Gross‑to‑Net (GTN), Costing, and Tax Compliance, with a strong focus on standardization, scalability, and service excellence.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of SLAs and KPIs across all accounting processes.
  • Lead process optimization, automation, and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Drive faster and higher‑quality quarter‑end and year‑end close, strengthening controls, execution speed, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support long‑term business and financial planning.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure full compliance with HK GAAP / IFRS, local statutory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
  • Establish and maintain robust audit trails, performing regular reviews to proactively mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Develop, review, and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Embed risk awareness and risk management practices into daily accounting operations.


People & Vendor Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing, cross‑regional accounting team across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Govern and manage outsourced BPO partners, ensuring service quality, compliance, and operational assurance.


Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Procurement, Treasury, Channel Operations, Sales, and Internal Audit to support end‑to‑end (E2E) business operations.
  • Act as the key finance liaison with DT / IT teams to resolve system, data, and process‑related issues.


Technology & Innovation

  • Champion enterprise‑wide digital finance initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA deployment, automation, and BI tools, to enable data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Enable AI‑driven accounting insights by leveraging digital capabilities and analytics.
  • Drive transformation by connecting processes, systems, and data to deliver productivity gains, enhanced compliance, and scalable operations.

Qualifications


Education & Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.


Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including 5-7 years in shared services or accounting operations center leadership.
  • Big 4 background is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in leading large, geographically dispersed teams and driving organizational change.
  • Deep expertise in full‑cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Costing, GTN).
  • Strong experience with ERP platforms such as SAP (S/4HANA preferred), Oracle, or equivalent systems.
  • Experience in multinational organizations and complex regulatory environments is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong process optimization, transformation, and project management capabilities
    (Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience with S/4HANA enablement and finance transformation programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data analytics tools.
  • Solid foundational understanding of AI and digital finance technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English additional languages are a plus.
