Responsible for growing sales with our sales & stores operations by coordinating with supplier, buyers, store managers, and the customers on promotions, marketing, and ad programs. Monitor and suggest competitive pricing in the product category Fish & Sea Food / Meat, Butchery & Eggs and Frozen, Daily / Fruit & Vegetable and Spice and non - food. Assist in new business development, cost and product comparisons, and new potential product development presentations.
- Conduct and review yearly budgeting (Sales, margin, other income) by Category and customer. Strategic planning including corporate positioning market and competitive analysis. Performance Review MTD, YTD by store by category.
- Work with related parties to Develop and achieve budgeted expectations for fresh product sales, gross margins, gains, promotional spends, and expense control in Fish & Sea Food / Meat, Butchery & Eggs and Frozen, Daily / Fruit & Vegetable and Spice and non - food
- Maximize the total sales and gross profit performance of Siam Makro through the introduction of new products of high potential
- Ensure that the current market trends and customers are fully understood as to provide the services and products that meet customers&apos needs
- Work with appropriate local and overseas suppliers to develop and launch high quality products that meet Siam Makro strategy.
- Ensure potential suppliers, access their knowledge and capabilities to develop mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Review quotation process to manage supplier negotiation, to ensure products being developed meet targeted margin and priced
- Preparation for Supplier trade term meeting, Individual Top supplier meeting Supplier conference, Medium and Small supplier.
- Assist with formulating the merchandising strategy for food shows. Direct the coordination and execution of products, people, and events of the food show events.
- Provide guidance on regional product sourcing and supply. Maintain contact with key regional suppliers to assist in driving sales in the division.
- Review Price Negotiation,Makro mail, KVI, Direct & indirect competitor by store, Price matching with competitor, Normal price setting / Price structure, new item Negotiate margin and other income.
- Assortment review : New store, new product, renovation, Major by yearly : core product, store type, Control No. of SKU in and out by category by buyer, Assortment review specific new store by store type, New item selection, Deletion item review, Plan-O-Gram review & approve, Performance review by item.
Requirements
- Bachelor&aposs degree in operations, business/marketing, MBA strongly preferred.
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Food Services Technology /Management or related field; or directly related experience preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development or related experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in Procurement & Sourcing
- Minimum work experiences required: 10 years of experience in retail/wholesales
- Minimum work experiences required : 5-10 years&apos experience in food industry (preferable buying) at a senior level
7.5+ years of food and beverage experience
- Experience supporting stores/field organization
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills along with experience managing complex projects
- Participate in cross-functional teams as required to advance the business interests of the company
- Compliance with all company and regulatory policies/guidelines relating to associate safety, food safety and food quality
- Ability to look externally for best-in-class ideas and integrate into our operation
- At ease in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to travel upcountry or on assignment
- Travel estimated at 10% to support business activities of all locations
