Role overview:
The Digital Operation Manager serves as the strategic Digital Twin and execution proxy for the Regional Operations Director across the Asia5 markets (Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines).
This position is not a traditional people management role, but a high-impact strategic execution function. The role is responsible for translating the Director's regional vision into automated, scalable operational frameworks. The Digital Operation Manager acts as a technical bridge between Global IT, Regional Innovation & Solutions (IS), and local operations, ensuring that modernization initiatives are not only technically sound but also strictly aligned with business ROI and the Director's strategic intent.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Proxy & Governance
- Act as the Regional Director's strategic eyes and hands, representing their intent in technical discussions and making ROI-based decisions on project feasibility in the Director's absence.
- Evaluate project scopes to prevent over-engineering, ensuring every solution is demand-driven and directly addresses operational pain points.
- Maintain a Strategic Brain approach to resource coordination, ensuring Asia5's modernization roadmap stays on track and aligned with global standards.
Operational Modernization & AI Orchestration
- Clean the Plumbing: Lead the diagnostic and redesign of legacy manual processes, establishing the necessary data order and logic required for high-value AI applications.
- Define solution blueprints and user stories, leveraging AI and emerging technologies to transform manual tasks into automated, tool-based workflows.
- Design and implement AI-integrated Standard Operating Procedures (Modern SOPs/Playbooks) to enhance regional autonomy and efficiency.
Global & Regional Technical Interfacing
- Serve as the primary regional technical interface for Global IT, mastering proprietary system architectures and ensuring regional requirements are reflected in global roadmaps.
- Engage in code-level dialogues with Regional Innovation & Solutions (IS) teams to ensure development alignment with business logic.
- Act as a translator between abstract business goals and detailed technical execution plans.
Empowerment & Knowledge Assetization
- Extract complex, successful experimental solutions into reproducible operational assets (Playbooks) for cross-market deployment.
- Spearhead the practical application of Prompt Engineering and AI tools across Asia5 to enhance team productivity and data accuracy.
- Design and lead training initiatives to ensure local operations teams can effectively adopt and maintain modernized processes.
