Responsibilities

Enhance and optimize the cloud-based data platform on Microsoft Azure, including DataBricks.
Engage in the complete project lifecycle for cloud data platform improvements with external vendors.
Work with Data Analysts to prepare, cleanse, and create optimized data models and visualizations in Power BI.
Execute proof of concept for cloud data products.
Validate data workflows and integration points through thorough testing.
Create operational playbooks and automation scripts for efficient deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Document data pipeline architecture and operational procedures for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
Certification in cloud data platforms.
Over 3 years of professional experience in data platforms.
Knowledge of data lifecycle and governance principles.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub/Kafka, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Power BI.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong self-motivation, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in English.

GOOD TO HAVE

Master's degree in a technical discipline.
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional.
Experience in scalable data platform implementations or migrations.
Exposure to data monetization or advanced analytics use cases.
Understanding of Data & Analytics multi-tenancy, Data Lakehouse architecture, DataOps, MLOps, AIOps, ModelOps, and FinOps.
Capability to manage junior data engineers and engineering tasks.
Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin.
