Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Cybersecurity Engineer. The role involves supporting the protection of organizational systems, networks, and data against cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, identifying potential risks, assisting with security assessments, and supporting the implementation of cybersecurity measures and policies. The position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen system security, investigate security incidents, and support compliance with security standards and best practices. The candidate will contribute to vulnerability management, access control monitoring, threat analysis, and security awareness initiatives. Additional responsibilities include preparing security reports, maintaining documentation, supporting incident response activities, and assisting with the continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple security-related tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, and information security practices
• Familiarity with security monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability assessment processes
• Understanding of firewalls, access controls, encryption, and endpoint security concepts
• Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot security-related issues
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of risk assessment and incident response procedures
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with operating systems, networking concepts, and security tools
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and emerging cybersecurity technologies
