Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Cybersecurity Engineer. The role involves supporting the protection of organizational systems, networks, and digital assets against cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, identifying potential risks, conducting vulnerability assessments, and assisting with the implementation of security measures and policies. The position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen system security, investigate incidents, and support compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices. The candidate will contribute to threat analysis, access control monitoring, security testing, and incident response activities to help maintain a secure technology environment. Additional responsibilities include preparing security reports, maintaining technical documentation, supporting security awareness initiatives, and assisting with the continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations and procedures. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple security-related tasks effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, and information security practices
• Familiarity with threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and security monitoring processes
• Understanding of firewalls, encryption, endpoint security, and access control concepts
• Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot security-related issues and vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of incident response, security testing, and system protection procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams
• Familiarity with operating systems, networking concepts, and security tools
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Cybersecurity-related certifications are a plus
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and emerging cybersecurity technologies
