Regional Contract Excellence: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of multi-jurisdictional commercial contracts (including sales, distribution, and e-commerce). The candidate must be capable of handling the entire contract lifecycle independently in full English or full Japanese.
Governance & Compliance: Localize and execute global compliance frameworks to meet the specific legal requirements of the Japan and ANZ markets.
Strategic Advisory: Provide actionable legal counsel on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. Must be able to conduct professional legal consultations and business negotiations fluently in both languages.
Risk & Litigation Management: Oversee potential disputes and regulatory inquiries within the assigned regions.
Requirements
Experience:Over 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a proven track record in extensive contract drafting and management.
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a reputable institution.
Professional Qualifications (Mandatory):Admission to the Bar in Taiwan (TW Bar) OR an ANZ jurisdiction (e.g., Australia/New Zealand Bar) is required.
Language & Communication (Crucial):
Full Professional Fluency in Japanese & English: Must be able to communicate, negotiate, and present legal arguments effectively in full Japanese and full English.
Ability to translate complex legal concepts between both languages for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Assets: Academic experience or legal coursework related to Japanese or ANZ law is a significant plus.
