Our Data Management team plays a crucial role in achieving this, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies to profile, monitor, and improve data quality across the organization. We are seeking a skilled Data Quality Profiling contractor to support our critical data initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize a Data Quality Solution (DQS) to perform comprehensive data quality profiling, focusing on completeness, uniqueness, validity, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness
- Execute and monitor data quality rules, including both built-in templates and custom SQL-based validations, to identify data issues
- Analyze data issues detected by the DQS, employing root cause analysis through metadata lineage to pinpoint responsible parties and drive data correction at the source
- Perform various data cleansing operations within the DQS, such as handling missing values, identifying and correcting outliers, managing duplicate records, standardizing data formats, and resolving inconsistencies
- Generate detailed data quality reports and scorecards to assess data quality status, trends, key issues, and impacts, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements related to data quality and translate them into data-driven solutions using DQS capabilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and industry best practices, particularly within the financial services domain
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of data quality processes and procedures
Job Requirements And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, business analytics, or information systems
- Proven experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with a strong understanding of data quality principles and practices
- Familiarity with financial services industry and regulatory requirements is highly preferred
- Proficient in using data quality tools, specifically with hands-on experience in data profiling, issue detection, analysis, and cleansing using a DQS
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation rule creation, and data manipulation
- Experience with other data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python and Tableau is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data quality issues into actionable insights and solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical data quality information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with various departments for data issue resolution
