About Your Next Opportunity
The
Content Writer & Editor role within VIVERSE is responsible for producing, editing, and maintaining high-quality content across multiple platforms to educate, engage, and inform our audience. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with VIVERSE's strategic goals and brand standards.
Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Content Creation:
- Develop engaging content for blogs, knowledge bases, tutorials, and other educational materials.
- Tailor content to suit different audience levels and objectives, ensuring clarity, relevance, and accessibility.
- Documentation & Editorial Support:
- Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to VIVERSE's brand voice and standards.
- Provide editorial support for product documentation and other informational resources.
- SEO & Performance Optimization:
- Apply SEO best practices to maximize content reach, integrate keywords, and optimize meta descriptions.
- Use analytics to monitor and improve content performance.
- Research:
- Conduct in depth research, utilizing insights from SMEs, product documentation, and industry trends to support content accuracy and relevance.
- Stay updated on competitor strategies and audience preferences.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate with Brianna, Social Media Marketing Manager, to set up and maintain a comprehensive writing and release schedule, coordinating timing for content publication across platforms.
- Work closely with Michael, Developer Community Manager, and Cris, Community Manager, to align content with product and community insights.
- Participate in cross functional meetings, contributing to innovative content ideas and campaign strategies.
- Content Management & Scheduling:
- Maintain a content calendar, coordinating with Brianna and other teams to ensure timely and aligned content releases.
- Update and revise content as necessary to ensure ongoing relevance and accuracy.
- Continuous Learning & Development:
- Pursue ongoing education in writing, SEO, and content strategy to keep content aligned with best practices.
- Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance writing skills and adapt to new formats and tools.
- Quality & Consistency:
- Deliver high quality, accurate content that aligns with VIVERSE's brand standards.
- Creativity & Adaptability:
- Bring innovative ideas to content development, adapting to trends and changing needs.
- Self Motivation & Independence:
- Manage multiple projects independently, ensuring timely completion without sacrificing quality.
- Attention to Detail & Communication:
- Demonstrate precision in all written work, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Communicates the corporate image or products through social media networks and tools. Monitors company online communities and presence. Makes initial responses to inquiries, complaints, comments and other contacts generated through social media and coordinates escalations or further communications; analyzes responses to social media activities and makes recommendations. Represents the company message to online communities, media, analysts and the general public at large. Maintains and builds relationships with social network influencers to create marketing opportunities and drive favorable buzz and coverage. Writes, edits and produces social network page, blog and microblogging content for internal and external communications. Individuals whose primary role involves designing and executing marketing campaigns and materials using social media should be matched to Online Marketing.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills And Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a content writer, editor, or in a similar role.
- Strong portfolio of published work showcasing exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content.
- Proficiency in writing for various formats, including articles, blogs, website copy, social media, and email campaigns.
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality content.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
