Computer Technician II (carrying the job title of IT Infrastructure Administrator, SCS)

The appointee will work in the School's Tseung Kwan O Learning Centre, and will be responsible for (a) managing, optimising, and securing the School's network infrastructure and security devices (b) administering Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, and storage solutions (c) ensuring system reliability through backup/restore operations and disaster recovery planning (d) providing escalated technical and end-user support and (e) collaborating with internal teams and vendors on IT projects and maintaining operational documentation.

Applicants should have (i) a Diploma/Higher Diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline, preferably with a Bachelor's degree, from a recognised university or a technical institute (ii) at least 5 years relevant full-time work experience, with proven experience in infrastructure and network engineering (applicants with slightly less experience but demonstrating exceptional technical capability will also be considered) (iii) strong expertise in L2/L3 networking (e.g., routing/switching, VLAN, DNS/DHCP, WAN/wireless) and systems administration (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, VMware, SAN/NAS) (iv) hands-on experience or strong familiarity with enterprise security controls (e.g., firewalls, VPN/SASE, endpoint protection, vulnerability management) and backup solutions and (v) strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as a good team player.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for written and/or computer skill tests.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
