Summary of This Role

This is a Compliance Manager role based in Taipei, Taiwan. Key stakeholders include business units and supporting units in Global Payments Taiwan Branch and data owners in Global Payments Asia Pacific entities.

What Part Will You Play

Compliance Function is an independent function which assists the company in ensuring that all activities of the company and its employees are conducted in conformity with the applicable regulations/laws.

  • Provide advisory services on regulatory requirements in respect of the corporate governance, business activities and licensing, including maintaining and updating all policies, guidelines and procedures relating to Compliance.
  • Conduct compliance reviews on the compliance with regulatory requirements and related internal policies and guidelines on a risk-based approach.
  • Act as the liaison officer for the company with Domicile Country regulator(s) and other relevant parties on compliance-related matters.
  • Report non-compliance and regulatory issues of the company to Regional Compliance and Domicile Country regulator, as applicable. Report to the Head of Compliance for compliance related concerns, issues and observations.
  • Facilitate and/or provide training to the staff on regulatory issues/requirements, including dissemination of applicable policies, guidelines and procedures for staff knowledge and compliance.
  • Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism compliance and risk management.
  • Other tasks may be assigned by Head of Compliance. The above may also be adjusted by Head of Compliance based on performance/management/business requirements.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative environment by emphasizing teamwork across all departments.

What Are We Looking For in This Role

Qualifications And Experience

  • Master Degree in Law, Banking or Accounting.
  • Strong English spoken and written communication skills.
  • 5+ years of working experience across all areas of Compliance risks in financial services industry, and experience in Business Process Improvement and Data Management in a data intensive environment. Working knowledge of Data Governance and Data Privacy principles, working knowledge of Design Thinking Techniques, with Metadata and Data Quality improvement practices and techniques a bonus.
  • Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues, and an experienced strategic thinker.
