Report directly to the Active Ageing Services Manager.
. Conduct/organise befriending visits to engage frail seniors in the community.
. Ensure the day to day running of the Active Ageing Centre is done smoothly and adhering to all measures required by MOH and the organisations SOPs.
. Assist to develop and plan outreach activities and engagement of seniors in the community.
. Conduct block walks, door-to-door visits, and localized outreach (e.g., block parties, void deck pop-ups) to identify and register unengaged seniors in the service boundary.
. Initiate, execute and manage the Active Ageing activities at the AAC.
. Assist to recruit, train and manage volunteers.
. Plan outdoor activities and excursions for AAC seniors and go along to facilitate.
. Manage, update, and upload client profiles, activity attendance records, and befriending logs into relevant sector databases.
. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with community partners including grassroots organizations, CCs, Silver Generation Office (SGO), polyclinics for collaborations and referrals.
. Act as a point of contact for walk-in, phone, and messaging enquiries from seniors and caregivers.
. Maintain centre environment safety, infection control standards, and manage emergency response protocols (when applicable).
. Regularly capture photos of SCC and AAH activities for social media posting purposes.
Minimum GCE N level or equivalent.
. 5-days work week. Rotational weekends (Sat & Sun) maybe required.
. Applicants with operational backgrounds in other industries such as hospitality are welcome to apply.
. Experience working with the elderly in the community would be good to have.
. Hands-on and enjoys community setting.
. Able to work independently with little supervision.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT.
. Able to communicate effectively with the elderly in their own language.
. Communicate clearly and appropriately with clients & business partners, always speaking with the understanding of tone and choice of words.
