Chef de Partie - Sichuan Cuisine
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present Sichuan dishes according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and quality guidelines
- Ensure consistency in flavour, texture, and presentation, maintaining the authentic taste profile of Sichuan cuisine
- Assist with mise en place planning, stock rotation, and daily ordering
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and work areas at all times
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards as per hotel and local regulations
- Contribute ideas for new dishes and improvements during menu development and tastings
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in professional Chinese kitchens, with at least 2 years as Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef experience in reputable hotel's Sichuan or regional Chinese cuisine 3 2
- Solid wok skills and strong practical knowledge of Sichuan cooking methods, sauces, and ingredients
- Experience in hotel or quality standalone restaurant environments preferred
- Good understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices HACCP exposure is an advantage HACCP
- Team oriented, positive attitude, and able to work under pressure during busy service periods
