Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the credit portfolio of the consumer banking division, ensuring adherence to risk management policies and guidelines
- Analyze portfolio trends, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement credit risk management frameworks and processes
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide insights to senior management on the overall credit health and performance
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit risk models, tools, and reporting mechanisms
- Participate in the credit approval process and provide expert opinions on credit decisions
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit portfolio management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the consumer banking or retail lending industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
- Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and credit risk management software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing credit portfolios and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across different functions
