PURPOSE OF JOB:
Ensuring the reliability and availability of all production and utilities equipment having a long-term focus and providing input and coaching to planning and execution of maintenance plans, keeping health and safety as a priority. Ensures adequate breakdown resolution for automation related breakdowns.
To drive and support Supply Chain organization in the implementation of measures reducing risks as well as maintaining and sustaining processes, systems, competencies etc. to keep the security measures in place and updated.
MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports Maintenance Manager in maintaining automation master plan and executes automation activities.
- Collects safety, quality related maintenance tasks and translates into maintenance plans for execution in automation area.
- Initiates and drives optimized automation processes (i.e. improve and sustain asset performance and reduce costs).
- Feeds planning team leader with preventive maintenance plans to improve asset performance and/or reduce costs.
- Mentors and trains technicians in optimizing asset performance and reduces costs in their zones.
- Mentors and trains technicians in executing breakdown analysis and implementation of minor stops, alarm & speed loss reduction process.
- Responsible for assessment and training in automation troubleshooting.
- Monitor process information (Operational Technology) and related systems, equipment and software.
- Maintains automation back-up data (parameter, PLC, SCADA, etc.).
- Must have basic mechanical, electrical and IoT technical knowledge.
- Be capable of understanding the P&ID diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Willing to face/ overcome each challenge as well as being a team player to support peers.
ORGANIZATION:
- This role reports to Maintenance Manager and direct reports.
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE/ SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Minimum of 5 years in plant automation.
- Good knowledge and experience in engineering and maintenance.
- Familiar with automation applications such as SCADA, IACS, and CMMS.
