Job Description

Gilead Sciences in Melbourne, Australia is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional capable of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment. The successful candidate will assume a full- time employment in the Oncology department and report to the Senior Business Unit Director. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
Essential Job Functions
- Leadership, development and ownership of insights based commercial strategies with cross-functional input and collaboration (including annual brand planning process)
Specific Responsibilities
- Must have experience launching products into complex Oncology setting including, diagnostics, shaping access and developing new market segments
- Must have the ability to engage, partner and influence at senior cross functional levels within and above country
- Strong strategic leadership and business acumen ability
- Must have the ability to conduct analysis and use complex analytical tools to derive insights
- Lead the strategic brand planning across all indications
- Must have a demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
- Ability to successfully work with external agencies, including advertising, public relations and medical education vendors to develop programs and materials is required
- Liaise and work collaboratively with cross functional team members including Sales Director to ensure the roll-out/ implementation with in-field sales team and ensure the Sales Team are well supported with resources and information required.
- Core member of the Brand Team and take lead when BUH is not available
- Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy.
- Contribute to Country Reviews and foster strong above country relationships
- Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to efficiently and productively communicate to a variety of groups and audiences.
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory, access and compliance requirements and impact on development of marketing materials and delivering the business goals.
- In-depth ability to lead, conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional/channel marketing and business plans.
- Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making is required.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams or work groups as well as direct reports.
- Must have the ability to engage and partner with KOLs and key external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets is required, P&L responsibility highly desired
- Strong resilience, abstract thinking, problem solving ability with experience in establishing new businesses
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies And Skills
- Over 8 years of experience in Oncology Pharmaceutical Marketing
- Must have previous pharmaceutical launch experience into complex oncology markets
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/ Business/ Science or related fields required.
- Strong knowledge of business acumen, marketing, strategy, sales and commercial policies and practices.
- Previous experience in marketing research
- Previous experience with other cross functional roles ideally within the oncology setting
- Higher post graduate qualification eg. MBA or other advanced business degree is desired.
- Must have Oncology Therapeutic Area knowledge and experience
- Working with multiple external key stakeholders including Patients and PAGs, Diagnostics, Surgeons (eg Patient Ad Boards, consultancy arrangements etc)
- Experience with Advocacy, Community and National Health systems and services
- Extremely familiar current Medicines Taiwan code of conduct
