The role oversees the accounting operations for our investment portfolios. It requires leadership in financial reporting, compliance, and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage investment accounting activities
  • Collaborate with outsourced investment teams (i.e. SLC and SLIMA) on portfolio valuations
  • Ensure compliance with IFRSs and regulatory standards including HKRBC and BMA
  • Prepare Group Reporting schedules
  • Prepare investment related sections in audited financial statements, HKRBC and BMA returns
  • Monitor and analyze movements in notional cash balances
  • Review and monitor internal control procedures and ensure compliance with ICFR
  • Provide support to investment and other teams on investment initiatives
  • Lead and mentor accounting staffs

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting with accounting professional qualification
  • 10+ years of working experience in insurance or finance function with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding on IFRS 9 and investment accounting for life insurance companies

  • Meticulous in numbers with high accuracy
