Associate Director / Director, Buyside Private Equity (Hong Kong) (CLOSED)

A private investment platform is seeking an investment professional to lead growth-stage private equity investments across Greater China, with a strong focus on emerging and technology-driven sectors.

This role combines deal origination, execution, investment leadership, and portfolio oversight, covering both USD and RMB transactions across high-growth industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and execute private equity investments across the Greater China region
• Build and maintain strong deal flow within sectors such as AI, semiconductors, robotics, biotechnology, and emerging technologies
• Lead client and founder relationships throughout the investment lifecycle
• Manage transactions end-to-end including sourcing, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, execution, and exit processes
• Prepare investment papers, financial models, and presentations for investment committee approval
• Monitor portfolio investments and support value creation initiatives
• Guide and mentor junior investment professionals across deal execution and analysis
• Maintain strong awareness of market trends, sector developments, and investment opportunities

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, or related disciplines
• 8+ years of experience in private equity investment and deal execution, with proven track record originating and executing transactions within Greater China
• Strong network and market knowledge across emerging technology sectors
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis capabilities
• Ability to independently manage deals from origination through execution and exit
• Commercially driven with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
