PURPOSE

The Group Digital Platforms team is responsible for identifying, defining, and managing technologies to fulfil business objectives.

The Group Platforms team operates across FWD Group to:

  • Collaborate with functions to drive operationalisation of business development, platform management and partner solutions.

  • Evolve platform development roadmaps and collaborate on solution design to achieve optimal business outcomes.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

Detailed job responsibilities is support the delivery of platform solutions:

Design

  • Lead and execute on platform design, technical concepts, through extracting business priorities and fulfilling business needs between senior business stakeholders

  • Ensure platforms are designed to support technical scalability, reliability and efficient maintainability in order to reduce cost impact and maximise business value

  • Amplify Agile software delivery practices through design and execution efforts, leading and coaching delivery teams on projects.

Development

  • Provide critical thinking and problem solving thought leadership in regards to business and technology solutions delivery in order to delivery optimal digital platform solutions and achieving business value impact.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Group Data, Group Technology, and Group and Country senior decision makers to plan, prioritise, and execute on delivery of digital platforms roadmaps alongside target business goals.

  • Support and align within budget approvals for implementation and operationalisation.

Operations

  • Lead and resolve co-ordinated design, development and deployment plans with business functions and technology solutions delivery teams.

  • Support the operationalisation of platform capabilities and best practices consistent with company vision and business goals.

Financial

  • Embed emerging technologies and techniques to optimise business benefit and improve operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Business, or Information Technology or equivalent, about 15 years working experience in Financial Services, eCommerce / Insurtech-Fintech / Start-up environment, while not mandatory, will be advantageous.

  • Expertise in digital best practices and its applicability to lifestyle and financial services.

  • Prior experience in managing cross-functional, multi-geography digital initiatives.

  • Excellent understanding of platform best practices and its applicability to insurance/financial services.

  • Prior experience in managing cross-functional, multi-geography environment.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging financial services, lifestyle, operations, and technology trends

  • Expert in partner engagement for ideation and problem-solving facilitation with stakeholders.

  • Appreciate the business applications of latest and emerging technologies and practices such as DevOps, Cloud, Microservices and Mobile development
