Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant MIS Manager to support the management of the company's IT infrastructure and Management Information Systems. This role ensures reliable IT operations for approximately 200 users, maintains system performance and security, and assists in the execution of IT projects and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & User Support
- Provide daily IT support to approximately 200 users across multiple departments.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of servers, network infrastructure, and business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with IT policies.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Project & Vendor Management
- Support IT projects including system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, migrations, and new system implementations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Monitor maintenance contracts, licensing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Data Management & Reporting
- Support MIS reporting functions and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Assist in generating operational and management reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology solutions.
Compliance, Security & Documentation
- Maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal policies.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and data protection standards.
- Support backup, disaster recovery planning, and system security controls.
- Conduct user training and promote IT best practices across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or MIS operations.
- Experience supporting mid-sized environments (150300 users) is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and business reporting tools is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Windows Server administration & Active Directory
- Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches)
- Microsoft 365 and corporate email systems
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Cybersecurity principles and best practices
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Mandarin / Chinese proficiency is an advantage
