The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
To assist in managing the applications of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the design, construction, completion and operation stages of projects
To support the exploration and application of new technologies, such as AI, to enhance the planning, design, and management of urban renewal projects
To assist and provide input in the preparation and vetting of project execution plans and BIM models
To support in the study and exploration of smart initiatives and sustainability opportunities for urban renewal
To review and update the smart building provisions requirements
To collaborate with institutes and stakeholders to encourage research and development (R&D) activities to facilitate urban renewal
Requirements:
Degree in Building, Construction, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in building, construction, engineering, or IT field
Possession of relevant professional qualification(s) e.g. HKIA, HKIS, HKIE, CIOB, HKIBIM, CCBM, or similar would be an advantage
Proficiency in design programme(s) e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Max, Dynamo, etc.
The appointment will be made on a 3-year fixed-term contract, which may be renewable subject to appointee's performance, the Authority's business needs, and other relevant factors.
