Job scope:
- Contribute to talent-attraction and recruitment activities, including engagement with hiring managers, recruitment agencies and candidates, as well as onboarding, learning, employee-engagement, employer-branding and organisation-development initiatives, based on business priorities and assigned responsibilities. as assigned.
- Partner with managers and business stakeholders to understand people matters, organisational needs and workforce priorities.
- Provide practical HR advice and guidance on HR policies, employee matters, performance management, organisation changes and other people-related issues.
- Manage employee queries, concerns and workplace matters professionally, sensitively and in accordance with company policies.
- Manage key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, confirmation, employee movements, transfers, employee records, HR documentation and offboarding.
- Ensure HR processes, documentation and data are accurate, timely, compliant and aligned with internal policies and governance requirements.
- Drive assigned HR projects and organisational initiatives across Singapore and the region.
- Review HR workflows and work practices, and recommend practical improvements to simplify processes, strengthen controls, standardise practices and enhance stakeholder experience.
- Lead the review, enhancement and maintenance of HR policies, guidelines, templates, process maps and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and present HR reports, data analysis and management updates to support effective decision-making.
- Work closely with the Regional HRIS Analyst, IT and HR colleagues to identify and implement practical improvements to HR processes, reporting and the use of existing HR systems, where required.
- Manage and drive assigned performance-management activities, including the annual performance-management cycle, employee goal setting, performance reviews, calibration discussions and related communications.
- Partner with managers and HR colleagues to provide guidance on performance-management processes, employee development needs and relevant people matters.
- Work closely with HR colleagues, internal stakeholders, and MHI Headquarters in Japan to drive consistent HR practices and regional initiatives.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of generalist responsibilities, spanning day-to-day HR operations, ad-hoc projects, and baseline support for compensation, benefits, and insurance and related HR activities/tasks.
- Execute other HR-related duties, operational tasks, and departmental projects as assigned by reporting manager and management.
