Assistant Manager, IT

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 16 months with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities
.Serve as the Project Manager (PM) overseeing the implementation of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives
.Lead system setup, define design principles, and manage system maintenance and support. Facilitate smooth deployment, testing, and rollout of each release to minimize turnaround time
.Manage key stakeholders-including the Programme Steering Committee-and coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure business requirements are technically feasible and systems are well-integrated with other HKIA platforms, delivering optimal performance
.Oversee overall system design and maintain consistency across the programme to ensure scope, quality, and schedule are effectively controlled
.Review system security architecture and interface designs to ensure full compliance with the Authority's IT Information Security Policy
.Plan and manage the full programme lifecycle, including site preparation, user acceptance testing (UAT), bug fixing, and final acceptance activities
.Collaborate closely with internal user departments and external business users to define project scope and requirements. Monitor vendor performance throughout project execution
.Act as the Technical Lead for the support team, providing ongoing maintenance and support services. Coordinate with the Command Centre for daily incident resolution and problem management of production IT systems

Requirements

.Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related disciplines
.At least 6 years of working experience in IT projects management, experience related to customer engagement is an advantage
.Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
.Substantial experience in overall project management, incident handling and stakeholder engagement
.Experience in platform or web application deployment
.Experience in application monitoring and testing automation
.Excellent project and vendor management skills
.Good knowledge of cloud-based products and solutions
.Working experience in aviation industry is an advantage
.Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
.Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Spoken of Mandarin is an advantage
