The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
The Urban Renewal Strategy, which was promulgated in February 2011 states that URA may provide assistance to owners as consultant to help them assemble titles for commencing owner-initiated redevelopment. To this end, URA has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Urban Redevelopment Facilitating Services Company Limited (URFS), to implement the Pilot Scheme. URFS is a company with an estate agent's licence which provides services (Facilitating Services (Pilot Scheme)) to interested owners in amalgamating their property interests for joint sa le in the market or for disposal under the prevailing market mechanism and other relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:
To lead and supervise frontline staff in providing facilitating services and managing daily operation of URFS
To provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members
To assist in preparing reports to the management, relevant committees and panels of the Authority for monitoring purpose
To contribute to policy matters, strategy formulation and decision-making relating to facilitating services
To represent URFS in communication with property owners and consultants for facilitation projects
To assist in improving the Urban Redevelopment Information System and overseeing the database updating process carried out by frontline staff
To support budget and business plan preparation
To direct and coordinate searches for replacement premises for shop operators affected by redevelopment projects and liaise with Acquisition and Clearance Division (ACD) project teams
To provide support to ACD on acquisition and clearance matters when needed
Requirements:
Degree holder in surveying or building / housing / property management related discipline with not less than 5 years relevant work experience
Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors / The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors / The Chartered Institute of Housing / The Hong Kong Institute of Housing
Holder of Estate Agent / Salesperson Licence under the Estate Agents Ordinance (Cap 511)
Good communication skills in Chinese and English
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Knowledge in computer software
Willing to work outdoors and outside normal office hours
