The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
To provide secretariat services to the Board / Committee / Taskforce / Working Group and corporate activity support to the Management
To assist in managing and engaging the Board / Committee Members to ensure efficient governance practices and relationship building
To liaise with statutory bodies in relation to complaints and requests for information or inputs
To update the URA's corporate website contents relating to the Board and its Committees
To assist in serving the corporate secretary role in the tendering process and document management
To produce PowerPoint slides and draft scripts for the Senior Management
To act as departmental coordinator in developing/upkeeping information systems and databases
To undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time
Requirements:
University degree holder in Construction, Business, Law or related disciplines
A minimum of 5 years experience in sizeable organizations, preferably with at least 3 years relevant experience in corporate services, governance and/or compliance
Good knowledge of corporate governance best practices in public sector organizations
Knowledge of property development, building maintenance or procurement is an added advantage
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, including handling urgent or emergency matters outside office hours
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
